TJ Oshie does iconic Oshie Chug during auction of Joe Beninati and Craig Laughlin’s wine release party

GAMBRILLS, MD — Capitals forward TJ Oshie was a special guest of Joe Beninati and Craig Laughlin for the release of the commentators’ newest wine, “Broadcast Blanc,” on Friday night. Sales of the wine benefitted the Laughlin Family Foundation.

At the epic party hosted at The Blackwall Barn & Lodge, Oshie brought back his most memorable off-ice celebration — chugging a beer through his jersey — during a live auction which helped raise money to fight rare cancers.

Tress Way, the coolest punter in the NFL, did the Oshie chug at the Capitals game

Taylor Heinicke got most of the attention on Monday, but the Commanders quarterback wasn’t the only player from the Washington football team at the game.

Heinicke was joined at the game by other players like Brian Robinson, Charles Leno, and popular punter Tress Way.

TJ Oshie’s beer chug through his jersey at the Capitals Stanley Cup championship rally was one of the most iconic and memorable moments of the team’s title run in 2018.

But little was known about why Oshie did it, until now. Speaking to Men In Blazers’ Roger Bennett, Oshie revealed that it had something to do with wine and peer pressure from Tom Wilson.

Capitals vs Nationals: Whose championship celebration was better?

Merriam-Webster should just put a photo of the Capitals and Nationals doing a conga line in the locker room to define the meaning of joy.

In 2018 and 2019, three D.C. teams — the Capitals, Nationals, and Mystics–were all finally able to celebrate the championship victories they waited and waited for for so long. They deserve our thanks and congratulations — not just for their victories, but for sharing their celebrations so openly with their fans and community.

And, since statistics make everything better and human beings love to compare things, we’ve decided to undertake a quantitative analysis of the Caps’ and Nats’ celebrations! (The Mystics are waiting to hold their parade until spring due to players’ prior commitments, but when they do, we’ll have coverage of that as well!)

TJ Oshie did his iconic beer chug again with the Washington Nationals in the locker room

TJ Oshie hasn’t done his beer chug in a long time. Oshie first revealed his epic party trick publicly during the Capitals’ 2018 Championship Parade and Rally on the National Mall. Since then it’s become the stuff of legend.

But with the World Series-winning Washington Nationals in the Capitals locker room and the alcohol flowing, Oshie pulled his shirt over his head, stuck the beer to his mouth, and chugged.

The Nationals posted the video to their Instagram Story.

Adam Eaton is doing TJ Oshie’s through-the-jersey beer chug at the Capitals game

It was bound to happen. Washington Nationals outfielder Adam Eaton performed the Ritual of Champions before Sunday’s game against the Calgary Flames.

In front of the Caps, Eaton spoke the Sacred Words, “Let’s go, boys.” He then flipped his jersey over his face and poured a Bud Light through the jersey and into his mouth.

The room erupted in Solemn Applause.

Blues’ Jaden Schwartz tries to one-up TJ Oshie’s beer-chugging celly by using Stanley Cup

The St. Louis Blues spent their first day back home on the balcony of a Brentwood, MO bar called OB. Clark’s. Blues players and alumni cheered with the crowd gathered below, signed items that were tossed high enough to reach them, and, drank celebratory drinks.

In 2018, TJ Oshie went viral when he chugged an entire beer through his t-shirt during the post-parade celebration on the National Mall. A year later, Blues’ forward Jaden Schwartz took the celebration to the next level by chugging directly from Lord Stanley’s Cup.

A Capitals and Blues fan in Missouri sent RMNB the video.

Bud Light is giving away free t-shirts at local bars to celebrate TJ Oshie’s party trick at championship parade

Monday morning, Bud Light tweeted out a new promotional item that will let you recreate TJ Oshie‘s, uh, unique celebration from the Stanley Cup win.

The t-shirt says “2018 World Champions” on the front, but is designed to reveal the words “Lets go Caps” when flipped up over the wearer’s head, TJ Oshie-style.

TJ Oshie did his jersey-drinking party trick again

Last weekend, TJ Oshie participated in the American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament in Tahoe, Nevada. While he didn’t win, the Osh Babe definitely had fun.

While on the course, Oshie showed off his party trick of drinking a beer through his polo shirt.

He also did so during a private party Thursday evening before the tournament began.

TJ Oshie tees off to ‘We Are The Champions,’ drinks beer through shirt again

TJ Oshie is continuing his partying ways during a celebrity golf tournament.

A day after sinking a putt while wearing a beer-guzzling helmet, Oshie teed off at the American Century Championship while We Are The Champions played.

After successfully driving the ball down the course, Oshie pulled his polo shirt over his head and downed a beer.
