Nazem Kadri returns from thumb surgery and scores Stanley Cup Final overtime goal that no one realizes went in

Nazem Kadri has had an absolute whirlwind of a 2022 Stanley Cup Playoffs and on Wednesday night he added what could be the beginning of a fairytale ending chapter.

Returning from thumb surgery that caused him to miss four games, he roofed the overtime winner in Game Four of the Stanley Cup Final. The only problem is…no one realized the puck went in for an awkward amount of time before the celebration could start.

Evander Kane suspended one playoff game for boarding play that injured Nazem Kadri

The NHL’s Department of Player Safety announced Sunday that Edmonton Oilers forward Evander Kane will be suspended for Game Four of the Western Conference Final due to his dangerous boarding of Colorado Avalanche forward Nazem Kadri in Game Three.

It was announced almost immediately postgame on Saturday that Kadri was injured on the play and would miss “at least” the rest of the series. Reports indicate that he left Rogers Place with a cast and has a suspected broken thumb.

Nazem Kadri knocked out of game and at least rest of series after taking dangerous board from Evander Kane

Very early on in Game Three of the Western Conference Final, Nazem Kadri of the Colorado Avalanche was taken out of action by an incredibly dangerous Evander Kane hit from behind. The hit sent Kadri flying into the boards and left him sprawled on the ice in clear distress.

Kane was assessed a five-minute major on the play and will likely speak with NHL Player Safety in the coming days. Unfortunately, it appears Kadri will miss much more than just most of one game.

Jordan Binnington on why he threw an empty water bottle at Nazem Kadri: ‘I felt like it was a god-given opportunity’

If you thought the drama from the St. Louis Blues and Colorado Avalanche second-round series was over…think again.

Blues goaltender Jordan Binnington was asked Tuesday during the team’s season wrap-up session with the media why exactly he chucked an empty water bottle at Nazem Kadri after Game Three in the series.

He had days to formulate a coherent, reasonable response and this is what he said.

Darren Helm scores goal with just 5.6 seconds left in regulation to send Colorado Avalanche to Western Conference Final

The Edmonton Oilers now know their Western Conference Final dance partner as the Colorado Avalanche finally put the St. Louis Blues away in six games. In typical NHL playoff fashion, it had to happen in theatrical circumstances.

Avs forward Darren Helm slammed a puck past Blues goaltender Ville Husso with just 5.6 seconds left in regulation to seal the deal. The hockey equivalent of a buzzer-beater gave Colorado a 3-2 lead and sent the Blues to their offseason stunned.

Controversial overturned goal helps Edmonton Oilers eliminate Calgary Flames in Game Five

The Edmonton Oilers are moving on to the Western Conference Final but they aren’t doing so without some controversy. Late in the third period of Game Five, it looked like the Calgary Flames had taken the lead through a Blake Coleman skate redirection.

The initial call on the ice was a goal. The play then went under review and apparently, enough evidence was found to overturn the goal. The Oilers would go on to win the game in overtime.

Nathan MacKinnon goes coast-to-coast for unbelievable hat trick goal in Game Five thriller

The Colorado Avalanche’s Nathan MacKinnon seems to always save some of his best hockey for the playoffs and that did not change on Wednesday night in Game Five against the St. Louis Blues. The 26-year-old center recorded the second postseason hat trick of his career and capped it off in tremendous style.

This goal is some coast-to-coast, must-see action.

Ryan Reaves trolls Tony DeAngelo, makes him very angry, and then laughs in his face

Most of the time the New York Rangers’ Ryan Reaves is a supreme annoyance to Caps fans but on Tuesday night during Game Four he trolled the mess out of Carolina Hurricanes ~~right wing~~ defenseman Tony DeAngelo and then laughed in his face.

Everyone liked that.
