Taylor Wilson runs beach volleyball clinic for aspiring players with special guest Tom Wilson

Tom Wilson has traded in the ice rink for the beach volleyball court with the Capitals’ season over.

Earlier this week, Tom joined his wife Taylor Wilson, a professional volleyball player, as she put on a clinic for several young players. The two also took the chance to show off in a 1v1 tournament, where Taylor came out victorious.

Fox 5 anchor Angie Goff shared the event on Twitter. Her daughter Adora participated in the clinic.

TJ Oshie finds new and inventive way to drink again via candle holder

TJ Oshie is a joy to root for because he’s effortlessly talented and endlessly creative. Not only can the Capitals forward dangle himself out of almost any tight space, but he also has one of the most nuanced and elaborate pregame routines in the NHL.

But those powers don’t turn off and cease to be just because there’s no hockey. For Oshie, those talents come out in different ways. Like at Tom Wilson’s wedding on Saturday.

Oshie turned a glass fixture, a centerpiece that usually holds a long candle, into his drinking glass for the wedding reception.

Tom Wilson is getting married to Taylor Pischke today. The wedding will be minus one brobean.

Nicklas Backstrom isn’t the only big-name Washington Capitals player to get married this summer. Tom Wilson is tying the knot to fiancee Taylor Pischke on Saturday per an RMNB reader who knew one of the vendors and asked to remain anonymous.

Wilson’s wedding is being held in the DC area and it is believed many current and former Capitals teammates are attending. Two we’re aware of include Chandler Stephenson and Michael Latta.

Tom Wilson spends off day helping rescue animals, holds one-day-old kittens

Tom Wilson’s lorge hands are perfect for scoring goals (and sometimes punching faces) in hockey, but recently we learned that they can also serve as a nice protective home for some of the smolest kittens on Earth, too.

The just-turned-28 Capitals star spent his off day on Wednesday assisting Wolf Trap Animal Rescue staff with the intake and processing of over 73 animals in need. Wilson was joined by his fiancee Taylor Pischke, Capitals defenseman Trevor van Riemsdyk, and Trevor’s wife Annie van Riemsdyk.

Tom Wilson attends Washington Football Team game with Brenden Dillon

Winnipeg Jets defenseman Brenden Dillon skated with his former teammates on Thursday, but that wasn’t the only thing he did in DC that day.

Dillon attended the Washington Football Team game later that night with Tom Wilson. The two hockey players were joined by their significant others, Emma Dillon and Taylor Pischke. They took photos from their posh seats in the lower bowl of FedEx Field.

Tom Wilson and Taylor Pischke’s furr family is growing – at least for the time being.

Friday, Pischke debuted two new pups the couple was taking in and fostering.

“Added ✌🏻 to the crew….but only for a couple weeks! #fosterparents #puppymadness #suntanning☀️ #halleisstillnumber1 #adoptdontshop” Pischke wrote on Instagram.

Nastya Ovechkina and Ovi Jr attend first Capitals game of the season

The Washington Capitals had a bunch of several special guests at Tuesday’s game against the Philadelphia Flyers – and I’m not talking about Anthony Mantha and Michael Raffl.

Last week, the DC government approved Monumental Sports & Entertainment’s waiver to re-open Capital One Arena for Capitals and Wizards games effective immediately. While fans won’t return to games until the end of the month, Capitals’ wives and girlfriends were in attendance Tuesday. That VIP list included Nastya Ovechkin and her son, Sergei, who rooted Alex Ovechkin on from the club level.
