The injured Capitals team continues their road trip this evening with a quick stop to visit the Montreal Canadiens. Currently, the Canadiens hold a four-point lead over the Capitals and have a pretty dangerous Max Domi in the lineup. Not only did he beat the Capitals at the last minute on November 2nd, but Domi has registered at least one point for the Habs in each of the last nine games. He’s currently sitting with 24 points, including 10 goals. This makes him 13th in the league for points and only three goals behind Alex Ovechkin. Basically, Domi looks GOOD.
Puck drop is at 7:30 PM this evening. As usual, you can stream NBCSWA’s coverage on all of your devices, including the pregame beginning at 6:30PM and the entire game. Chris from the comments will be providing you with a recap.

Projected Lines
As always, thanks to Izzy at the Washington Post for the scoops. TJ Oshie and Evgeny Kuznetsov are dealing with concussions, so they are not on the ice. Pheonix Copley is starting for his fourth straight game, but according to Coach Reirden, you can expect to see Braden Holtby back on Wednesday for the game against the Chicago Blackhawks:
Ovechkin – Eller – Wilson
Vrana – Backstrom – Burakovsky
Stephenson – Boyd – DSP
Jaskin – Dowd – Connolly
Orlov – Carlson
Kempny – Niskanen
Djoos – Bowey
Copley
PK Subban
It’s not really a Montreal Canadiens game unless we bring up PK Subban. So.
A youth team from Ontario is here in Nashville. The Preds usually have a player who’s injured come out for photos and a meet and greet. That injured player this time happened to be P.K. Subban. Who was very P.K. Subban. pic.twitter.com/QGwYODhBad

Storylines
- Shane Gersich scored twice in Hershey big victory on Friday night! Go Bears Go!
- Want another Hershey Bears player on a great scoring streak? No problem, Riley Barber has you covered!
- The Washington Wizards aren’t looking spectacular at the moment, but we’re willing to lend them Alex Ovechkin for a few games.
- The Backstrom family, the Green family, the Carlson family, and the Oshie family all went on vacation together. In my personal opinion, the pictures are seriously too good to be true.
- If you’re traveling around for the upcoming holiday, make the airport a tad easier and pick up a copy of Alex Ovechkin‘s #FlyWashington Magazine cover.
- The whole “Gritty as a symbol to protest the far-right” is one of my favorite things. People dressed like Gritty and made cool signs at a rally in Philly over the weekend.
- Tom “gotta be smarter” Wilson.
More Gritty
Honestly, the more Gritty the merrier in my opinion. During the first intermission of the Flyers vs. Lightning game, Gritty took to the ice with the Mites on Ice. This time? A Mite tried to fight Gritty.

The kid won, but got thrown in the penalty box.
little kids get a once-in-a-lifetime chance to play on the ice during the intermissions of NHL games. it’s adorable.
last night, one of those kids decided to go rogue and use his time in the spotlight to fight Gritty. twice.
1st kid ever penalized between periods. i’m weeping. pic.twitter.com/xFf4FZOsLy
