A very good picture of Michal Kempny holding five pitchers of beer

The lack of context, in my opinion, only aids in its incredibleness.

Dead Rise, the wildly popular Maryland-style beer crafted by Frederick’s Flying Dog Brewery and brewed with Old Bay seasoning, is back for its fifth year in a limited release. And you guys, it’s even better and more Maryland-y than before.
Originally created as a blonde ale, Flying Dog Brewery gave Dead Rise a new look, a new recipe, and even MOAR Old Bay to celebrate its fifth anniversary.
The Washington Nationals announced a new beer to celebrate their World Series championship last fall.
The beer is called Curly W. It’s an India pale ale with six percent ABV.
The Washington Nationals really got wild by the end of the Caps-Flames game. Several of the team’s stars, such as Max Scherzer, Trea Turner, Adam Eaton, and Sean Doolittle, got shirtless during a second intermission Zamboni ride.
The shirts came off again during the third period after the Capitals and PA announcer Wes Johnson unleashed the fury.
As it ended, Yan Gomes and Brian Dozier began pouring beers into the mouths of Capitals fans below.

The Washington Capitals and Virginia-based brewery Devil’s Backbone have teamed up to create their own Caps-themed beer: the Capit-Ale India Pale Ale.
Beginning in September, with the start of the Capitals preseason, the beer will be available to purchase at Capital One Arena in 16 oz. cans. The beer will also be available on draft at “select retail locations” in Maryland, Virginia, and D.C. According to the packaging, the IPA has favor notes of “citrus, melon and… winning.”

The Washington Capitals’ euphoric Stanley Cup championship victory in June inspired hundreds of thousands of local fans to gather at the National Mall for the team’s parade. Since then, there have been Stanley Cup bobbleheads, wine, buckets, pig races, and corn mazes made in tribute.
The latest salute comes in beer form.
In collaboration with local beer shop Downtown Crown, DuClaw Brewing Co., located in Baltimore, MD, is releasing a new pilsner entitled Cup Stand. Featuring a silhouetted Alex Ovechkin doing a Cup Stand on top of the Stanley Cup, the logo utilizes navy blue and white stars from the Capitals’ third jerseys.
The beer will be sold exclusively in cans and on draft at Downtown Crown Wine and Beer in Gaithersburg and Georgetown Square Wine and Beer in Bethesda starting Thursday, December 13.
On Sunday, the Capitals hosted their annual Casino Night at the MGM National Harbor, raising a lot of money for charity. The Stanley Cup was there as a surprise guest, but so were a wide variety of beers.
While the Capitals do a lot of things together as a team (such as opening their championship ring boxes together), each player has a unique personality of their own. And their beer (or wine) choice gives us even more insight.
I documented what most players drank. Some of the players drink things you would expect (Ovi, Bud Light). Others, like Braden Holtby, choose their beers like they choose their wardrobe: exacting.

TJ Oshie’s legend status is officially confirmed.
During his illustrious athletic career, Oshie has beaten the Russians in an Olympic shootout, won a Stanley Cup with the Capitals, and drank a beer through his jersey during a championship parade. Now he’s managed to do the impossible: make golf cool.
Oshie did so with a Happy Gilmore-esque edition to his putting wardrobe. While going for par on the 17th hole of the American Century Championship, Oshie wore a beer-guzzling helmet.

It’s official: the Caps and Islanders really, really hate each other. Game seven on Monday should be intense (and very loud).
The drama reached a fever pitch in game six after John Carlson shot a loose puck at Jaroslav Halak after the buzzer sounded. This was an injustice according to Kyle Okposo, so the Isles winger made a beeline to Carly. A brawl ensued.
Julianne Hough has been busy lately. She has announced that she will be doing a dance tour around the nation with her brother Derek. She also will be returning to Dancing With The Stars as a guest judge in two weeks.
We do not care about that. We care about Hough watching the Caps play at Verizon Center on Tuesday night (well, maybe we care; I guess this is debatable). I assume she was there to support her injured boyfriend, Brooks Laich, who recently went under the knife to repair his injured groin.
Here’s a treat: everybody’s favorite paparazzo Homer McFanboy posted this photo of Hough on the concourse, which was taken by an anonymous friend.
Here you see Julianne smiling with friends and— HEY, wait a minute. What is in her hands?
