TJ Oshie starred in a video released by the NHL on Monday.
The Capitals forward, while rocking his All-Star jersey, helped explain what “tarps off” means and revealed some times he’s done so in the past.

The term means “to take one’s shirt off,” according to the NHL.
“For some reason, it always happens at weddings,” Oshie said. “It might just be hockey players. I am very guilty of going tarps off at more than one wedding.
“My wife is not proud of it,” he continued. “It’s usually the next morning when she’s gotta tell me that I might be getting a little too old to go tarps off.”
Ouch!
The NHL included a still of the Washington Nationals shirtless on the Olympia ice resurfacer. It was from the night the Nats celebrated their World Series championship at Capital One Arena.
Ovi was later asked which Capitals player is most likely to go “tarps off.”
“If anyone is gonna do it, I’d say it’s gonna be Ovi,” he said.
Yup.
