Wednesday morning, the Capitals announced the roster of players that will compete in the upcoming Prospect Showcase in Antioch, Tennessee. The Showcase will take place from September 7th through September 10th and feature prospects from four teams, the Washington Capitals, the Nashville Predators, the Tampa Bay Lightning, and the Carolina Hurricanes.
The roster, according to the Capitals, will include several prospects that are under contract, recent Caps draft picks that haven’t been signed yet, and several undrafted and free agent amateur players. Each game will feature three 20 minute periods, followed by a shootout, regardless of the score.
Notable players taking part in the Showcase include 2018 first-round pick Alex Alexeyev, 2019 draft pick Connor McMichael, goaltender Ilya Samsonov, and forward Alex Jonsson-Fjallby.

Saturday, Sept. 7 – Washington vs. Carolina 1 p.m.
Saturday, Sept. 7 – Tampa Bay vs. Nashville 4 p.m.
Sunday, Sept. 8 – Nashville vs. Washington 1 p.m.
Sunday, Sept. 8 – Tampa Bay vs. Carolina 4 p.m.
Tuesday, Sept. 10 – Washington vs. Tampa Bay 10 a.m.
Tuesday, Sept. 10 – Nashville vs. Carolina 1 p.m.
