Capitals drop final game of 2019 Prospect Showcase 7-2 to Tampa Bay Lightning

The Capitals started the 2019 Prospect Showcase strong, with a high-scoring win over the Carolina Hurricanes. That hot start fizzled out as they dropped their next two games, including Tuesday’s matchup against the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Bolts dominated through the second and third periods, coming out on top with a 7-2 win. The Capitals ended the showcase with a 1-1-1 record.

Your Caps goal scorers were Alex Kannok-Leipert and Connor McMichael.

Capitals rookies fall in overtime to Predators in second game of prospect showcase

After an explosive win to start this year’s prospect showcase, your baby Caps met fiercer competition in the host Nashville Predators. The good guys ended up dropping their second game of three on the schedule to the Preds in overtime 3-2.

Your Caps goal scorers were Kody Clark and Brian Pinho.

Martin Fehervary scores twice in Capitals’ 10-3 rookie game rout of Hurricanes

Washington Capitals prospects got off to an explosive start against the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday. The group of youngsters put 10 goals past their future Metro Division rivals, opening the first of three games in Nashville with a big win.

The goal scorers in order were Brian Pinho, Beck Malenstyn, Martin Fehervary, Pinho, Garrett Pilon, Joe Snively, Bobby Nardella, Fehervary, Shane Gersich, and Kristofers Bindulis. The Capitals won 10-3.

The Capitals announce roster for 2019 Prospects Showcase

Wednesday morning, the Capitals announced the roster of players that will compete in the upcoming Prospect Showcase in Antioch, Tennessee. The Showcase will take place from September 7th through September 10th and feature prospects from four teams, the Washington Capitals, the Nashville Predators, the Tampa Bay Lightning, and the Carolina Hurricanes.
