Carolina Hurricanes go curling during latest Storm Surge

The Carolina Hurricanes can’t stop winning at home. Their reward is our reward – more creative postgame celebrations called Storm Surges that no one can get enough of except Don Cherry. (Quick aside, did you see Don’s leprechaun suit for St. Patrick’s Day? You can’t get more creative than that.)

Saturday, after the Canes’ 4-2 win over the Buffalo Sabres, the players went curling.

This is excellent form though Vice Skip Justin Williams does not appreciate how far the Helmet Stone was tossed. Less brooming next time, boys.

The World Curling Federation tweeted their support to the Canes.

This Storm Surge does not excite me as much as the celebrity boxing, limbo, homerun, duck duck goose, bowling, and dominoes in the form of a W celebrations, but I’m amazed Carolina keeps coming up with new stuff.

Hopefully that ends in the playoffs, where, if the postseason started today, the Capitals would play Carolina in the first round.
