The Carolina Hurricanes beat the Florida Panthers 4-1 Friday night at PNC Arena, which means that the Canes had to do a creative postgame celebration per captain Justin Williams’ decree.
They chose to do human dominoes, but with a few creative twists.

It’s brilliant.
After the game, the Canes Twitter account took an everyone-is-against-us tone, responding broadly to Brian Burke’s recent comments that the postgame surges are “not professional” and don’t belong in the NHL. He added it’s “absurdly amateurish, pee-wee garbage stuff.”

Other than Burke, who is less a media member and more a former legendary front office member, few in the media have criticized the Hurricanes’ team cellies while many find it to be visionary.

Over the last two months, the Canes have done an Evgeny Kuznetsov-inspired kayak celebration and a tandem jump into the boards.
“Hockey is our life and job, but it is still a game,” Williams said earlier in the season. “Enjoy the good times and have fun with it. Let’s celebrate more this year.”
Williams’ idea appears to be working. The Canes earned 9 of 12 points during their homestand. They are 7-4-2 at home so far this season after a 19-16-6 record at PNC Arena last season.
