The Caps have hit the road again for the next four games. To start, they will face a pretty stellar looking Minnesota Wild. The Minnesota team is returning home after a successful road trip while the Capitals are still trying to find a good groove and shake off their Stanley Cup hangover. Luckily, some additions to the Capitals lineup might make a bit of a positive impact. Most notably in the lineup this evening is an addition to the top line. Tom Wilson. Yeah, you read that right.

Projected Lines
Obviously, there is a bit of a change from previous games…someone that rhymes with Shmom Schmilson is back? Plus, Copley is back in goal. I don’t know, but thanks to Izzy at the Washington Post we can expect these lines:
Ovechkin – Kuznetsov – Wilson
Vrana – Backstrom – Oshie
Burakovsky – Eller – Connolly
Stephenson – Boyd – DSP
Orlov – Carlson
Kempny – Niskanen
Djoos – Bowey
Copley
Tartar
I love this man.

Storylines
- The Capitals announced today that Axel Jonsson-Fjallby is returning back to Asgard. I mean, Sweden.
- The NHL has reached a tentative settlement in the concussion lawsuit we’ve all been hearing about since 2016. Lots of interesting chatter in the comments.
- Last game was bad. Want to figure out why? Chris’ morning after numbers might provide you with a tad bit of clarity. Or maybe you’ll continue to think that it’s just the hockey gods being all angry and jealous about us, so they’re getting their revenge. I definitely don’t think that, nope no way.
- *Sounds the Caps Dads alarm* there is some excellent footage of Nicklas Backstrom skating with his kids after practice. A great way to warm your heart in this cold weather.
- Nathan Walker got punched in the face. Aussie Aussie Aussie, Ow Ow Ow.
- There is a report going around that the Maple Leafs are now taking offers for William Nylander. This has actually been extremely interesting to follow and Ian does a great job laying it out for you. Plus, you should join in on the comments chatter about how much he should make or who he should be traded for…
- Alan May is absolutely convinced that the Capitals are going through a “Stanley Cup hangover”. Honestly? Same.
- There are some very cute new Funko Pop creations that are hockey/Wayne’s World themed.
- How long do you think TJ Oshie had this poster in his drafts?
Stan Lee
I’m going to be honest here. I only read some Spider-man comics as a kid and that’s it. I haven’t even watched all the Marvel material, it’s overwhelming for me. But, I am very sorry and very sad for those of you that are impacted by the death of Stan Lee. I want to know your favorite creation of his.
Marvel and The Walt Disney Company salute the life and career of Stan Lee and offer our undying gratitude for his unmatchable accomplishments within our halls. Every time you open a Marvel comic, Stan will be there. Please join us in remembering Stan “The Man” Lee. pic.twitter.com/nLebIgiK6o

I will also say that I genuinely admired every time he had a cameo in the Marvel movies and shows.
