Funko added this snippet about the figurines on their website.
Pop! Movies: Wayne’s World
It’s Wayne (and Garth’s) world and we’re all just living in it. Pay a visit to the early ‘90s with these Wayne Campbell and Garth Algar Pop! figures. You’ll laugh together. You’ll cry together. You may even hurl together.
They also gave a first look at the box.
The figurines are based off a street hockey scene featuring Wayne and Garth. The best friends, wearing customized Chicago Blackhawks jerseys, play ball hockey, but are constantly interrupted by cars on their busy street. “GAME ON!” Wayne yells after play can begin again.
The movie, which is currently celebrating its 25th anniversary, launched Mike Myers’ film career and was the biggest film of Dana Carvey’s career.
Another big scene of the movie feature Wayne and Garth singing Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody in their car. The funny segment introduced the Queen song to a younger generation.
A movie dedicated to Queen and their trials and tribulations as a band was recently released on November 2 and is named after the song. Myers, who’s also in the Queen movie, spoke about the connection between the two films with Stephen Colbert.
RMNB is not associated with the Washington Capitals; Monumental Sports, the NHL, or its properties. Not even a little bit.
