Two years ago today, the Washington Capitals held their Stanley Cup Championship Parade
Two years ago today, nearly a million Capitals and DC Sports fans gathered along Constitution Avenue and on the National Mall to witness the Capitals’ Stanley Cup Championship Parade and Rally. It was sloppy.
The celebration was the epic conclusion to the Capitals’ magical run during the 2018 Playoffs from eliminating the Pittsburgh Penguins in the second round and winning the Stanley Cup a month later to doing Cup Stands and swimming drunkenly in fountains.
You guys, things suck currently but we weren’t f$%*ing suck *that* year.
