Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin made a promise at the beginning of the 2017-18 season: “We’re not going to be suck this year.” We made the shirt, Ovi wore it, and it became a mantra to carry the team through the season.
On Tuesday, at the rally following the Championship parade celebrating the Capitals’ historic win, Ovechkin repeated it one final time. With a little bit more… colorful language.
