Alex Ovechkin’s captain duties apparently include carrying chairs to the Caps bench
Alex Ovechkin is a future first-ballot Hall of Famer and one of the greatest goalscorers of all time. He is a Stanley Cup Champion, a three-time MVP, and a three-time World Champion. He also holds a key to the city and once owned seven cars at the same time.
But that doesn’t mean his life is always glamorous. Ovechkin wears full body sweatsuits, eats Nestle drumsticks, and plays videogames shirtless.
So it shouldn’t surprise us that Ovechkin is willing to do whatever it takes to be a helpful captain and make his teammates comfortable. Such as Thursday night, when Ovechkin carried an old, oversized chair to the Capitals bench.
