Hockey’s gone and many hockey fans are stuck at home. But sports are on pause doesn’t mean sports fans have done the same!
Friend of the blog Jenn P, woke up to find her son Troy had decorated the family’s kitchen cabinets with an array of hockey sticks. Inspired by her tweet, we decided to ask what else y’all have been up to.

After her first inspiring tweet, Jenn shared an update on Troy’s activities: he’s playing hockey. With dinosaurs.
After his kitchen remodel he had a shootout with his toys in his hockey playroom (my favorite is “it’s okay dinosaur. It’ll be okay.”) pic.twitter.com/6q18BLJiCy

I personally have also been playing hockey video games (NHL19) for the first time ever. And, since I am very much suck this year, I’ve buried myself in hockey hoodies for comfort.
wearing giant soft hockey hoodies all the time is self-care

Ah, this old chestnut. It’s never a bad time to relive these glory days.

This isn’t a ranked list, however, we do have a winner:

Other suggestions:
- You can watch simulated games and enjoy Nicklas Backstrom’s hat trick and Nic Dowd making his wife Paige proud
- NBC and NBC Sports Washington are airing old Caps games, including the Stanley Cup Final run
- You can look at NHL players being adorable with their children and their
actual childrendogs - Heck, you can even join your favorite NHL players and try the TikTok toilet paper challenge!
Stay strong, watch old hockey videos, connect with other hockey fans (from a safe distance), and make sure to let us know if you’re okay–or if you’re not. At the end of the day, we’re all here for each other. (And hockey.)
