The 2019 Stanley Cup Champion St. Louis Blues will be visiting the White House on Tuesday. After an early loss to the New York Islanders on Monday, the Blues hopped on a plane to Washington DC and attended Game Three of the National League Championship Series game between the Cardinals and the Nationals.
The Nationals went on to win 8-1 and took a commanding 3-0 series lead.
With the Blues in Washington D.C. Monday night for their White House visit Tuesday, it sounds like some will be attending Game 3 of the Cards' series, offering the same support they received on their Stanley Cup run. #stlblues

The Cardinals supported the Blues during their first successful championship run in the spring and the Blues are returning the favor in the fall.

Jeremy Rutherford wrote for The Athletic about the relationship between the two teams.
It's a great time to be a #TeamSTL fan. Good luck to our friends at the @cardinals as they open the NLCS tonight! #TimeToFly pic.twitter.com/wEaquMLh9C

“It’s a whole other level with the crowd,” Brayden Schenn said to Rutherford. “Every pitch means so much, every at-bat means so much. I think it’s pretty cool for the city to have two teams have two stories that kind of relate and…we’re rooting for them. The city would obviously love to see another title come through there, another parade come through there, no doubt about it, so hopefully they can make a run.”
Unfortunately for the Blues, their cheers could not spur the Cardinals on to victory. The team sat down the right-field line near the foul pole.

The Nationals, who have received plenty of support from the Capitals, are now one win away from the World Series. The WNBA Mystics’ Elena Delle Donne will be throwing the first pitch before Game Four.
