Washington Capitals forward Tom Wilson rocked a slick new checker suit at the Caps red carpet event on Saturday.
On Wednesday, he donned a similarly styled suit made by Canadian menswear company Indochino, who Wilson has partnered with to help open their 50th showroom in Georgetown.
“Playing in a league that requires athletes to wear suits on game days is a great tradition that gives you a chance to create a unique look each time you head to the rink,” Wilson said in a press release via PoPville. “I love the fact that I can turn to Indochino for a custom suit that fits me perfectly – I get to pick from an endless selection of fabrics, linings and details to add my personal style to each game day.”
According to PoPville, Wilson discovered the brand a couple of years ago while in Vancouver, Canada.
Indochino creates premium made-to-measure suits at ready-to-wear prices. With how difficult it can be for hockey players to find clothing to fit their, uh, measurements, the partnership feels like a match made in heaven for Wilson.
The partnership represents yet another endorsement deal for Wilson, which includes Philips, Paisano’s Pizza, WMATA/Metro, and Sport Chevrolet. He was also one of the featured speakers at Fanatics’ Stanley Cup Chalk Talk and has done autograph signings for Giant Food. Wilson is an investor of the local boxing studio, BASH, and promotes the company on social media online too.
