If you live in central Pennsylvania and you were tuned into the local news on Thursday night, you might have caught RMNB on your TV.
CBS 21 News ran a short segment using our video of Gritty dealing with an errant Penguins fan at Wednesday’s Hockey Day on the Hill.
In the video, Gritty, the lovably monstrous mascot for the Philadelphia Flyers, stalked through a crowd while dragging an extension cord behind him, much like a serial killer would drag an ax along the ground. Gritty used the extension cord to tie up a Pittsburgh Penguins fan at the event before kicking the fan in the rear to banish him.
“On a side note, I think this is a good technique to get things accomplished on Capitol Hill. Tie everyone up until they compromise. Bring in Gritty,” said sports anchor Joel D. Smith.
Gritty was in DC for Hockey Day on the Hill. The event began with a congressional briefing on growing the sport of hockey through programs like Future Goals, which focuses on providing unconventional science, technology, and math education in schools by connecting them to hockey.
