During his return game to DC, Capitals fans overwhelm Jay Beagle with signs during warmups

For the first time since signing as a free agent with the Vancouver Canucks, Jay Beagle returned to Washington on Tuesday night to take on his former teammates.

After Beagle admitted that he never gets signs dedicated to him at warmups, Capitals fans did what they do best, and showed him a wealth of love upon his return.

As Beagle took to Capital One ice, he was visibly moved by the reaction from Caps fans, and stopped to take in every poster. He was treated to loud applause as he made his way back to the locker room, the last player off the ice, and even gave some sticks to two fans as he left.

Gene Wu, and his son Marcus, created a special sign for the night. When the Canucks’ equipment manager spotted it, he took it back for Beagle to sign.
