The Swiss Junior team, featuring their own version of the birdwalk celly, is streaking into the semifinals against the Fins.
One name missing from the Swiss lineup is Caps prospect Tobias Geisser, who has been sent back to the AHL.
Tobias Geisser released to the AHL by Switzerland, so no chance he would be ready for the medal round this weekend.

It turns out that Geisser was named to the team but was never officially on roster. The Swiss held two spots open in case Geisser recovered from an injury he suffered during a tuneup game. It appears that recovery didn’t happen fast enough.

In 18 games with the Hershey Bears this season, Geisser has one assist and four penalty minutes. Geisser hasn’t played a game with the Bears since December 16, a 4-1 loss to the Springfield Thunderbirds, when he left for this years World Junior Championships.
In last years World Junior Championships, Geisser played in five games and was named one of the top three players for the Swiss.
