In consecutive fights, Tom Wilson and Daniel Winnik bloody Stars enforcers

The Caps didn’t have offense for a few minutes, so they fell back on that old familiar habit: face-punching!

In a back-to-back smorgasbord of punched faces, Tom Wilson and Daniel Winnik bloodied their respective partners while looking no worse for the wear themselves.

Tom Wilson vs. Brett Ritchie

It started with Tom Wilson and Brett Ritchie. The brawlers dropped gloves and started a long fight. Wilson had mostly jersey jabs, and Ritchie had only haymakers that glanced off.

Wilson’s face was unscathed. He got punched in the face and somehow got even more handsome. His knuckles… not so much.

Daniel Winnik vs. Antoine Roussel

Then it was Daniel Winnik’s turn, trading blows with Antoine Roussel. That fight ended abruptly when Roussel fell onto Winnik’s skate, leaving him bloody like a blading pro wrestler.

Speaking of — the good people at American Airlines Center had the good taste to blast John Cena’s entrance them after two heavyweight bouts.

The scoreboard was not affected.
