Twenty-nine-year-old forward Troy Brouwer is celebrating his 500th career game on Tuesday. No better way to commemorate the milestone than scoring a memorable goal against the defending Stanley Cup Champions.
Plus, this is a good excuse to share the ridiculous signs from the Brouwer Rangers.
First, the goal. Karl Alzner pushed the puck around the dasher boards, then Evgeny Kuznetsov threw a no-look pass to Brouwer in the slot. Brouwer’s pouwer took over.
Troy acknowledged Kuznetsov with a point of his glove as he celebrated with Andre Burakovsky, who is dead inside.
Brouwer is basically The Fonz.
Ayyyyyyyyyyy!
During a first-intermission interview with Al Koken, Brouwer praised Kuznetsov for the heads-up play.
Brouwer on goal: "Kuzy, I saw him look over his shoulder & he found me. I saw a soft spot in the middle of the ice & was able to bury it."

I’m sure the Brouwer Rangers, clad in bowtie spandex suits, were going wild waving these signs in the upper bowl.
