Mitch Korn shared his Stanley Cup day with John Walton at Miami University. He ate wings out of the Cup.
On Wednesday, former Capitals goalie coach Mitch Korn brought the Stanley Cup to Miami, Ohio, and was joined on campus by radio voice of the Capitals John Walton.
The pair celebrated at Goggin Ice Arena on the campus of Miami University of Ohio. Korn was an assistant coach to the men’s hockey team and the ice arena administrator in the 80’s before being hired by the Buffalo Sabres in 1991. Walton graduated from Miami University in 1996 and majored in mass communications.
The day started with a special photo op on High Street for the two Red Hawks.
