Matt Niskanen had his day with the Stanley Cup over the weekend and took the cup back home to Minnesota for a delightful day with friends and family.
Among those in attendance during Nisky’s day with the Cup was teammate Tom Wilson, who brought along a special friend you may recognize.

Wilson snapped a quick picture and posted to Instagram thanking Nisky for letting him join in on the fun. Along with Tom Wilson was “Wilson”, the volleyball from the Tom Hanks flick, Cast Away.
This reference is not new to Tom in any way, shape, or form. He even dressed up as “Wilson” for Halloween one year while ex-roommate and former Capital Michael Latta was in costume as the Cast Away himself.
