These are all adjectives I would use to describe Evgeny Kuznetsov’s high-danger scoring chance against the Florida Panthers last night.
Kuzy took a pass in the corner, skated backward out in front of the net, then unleashed a shot in-between his legs which nearly beat Sergei Bobrovsky.
Happy Thanksgiving! We are all thankful today that the Caps secured a 4-3 victory over the Florida Panthers. Get ready to eat, y’all. This will be a brief one.
The Panthers out-shot the Caps 40 to 20 and out-attempted them at five-on-five 50 to 38.

The Washington Capitals beat the Florida Panthers, and that’s fine, but you’re here to see children dressed up like turkeys and skating around like turkeys with their heads cut off, except cuter.
That’s precisely what happened during Tuesday’s intermission as the Caps brought back their beloved Thanksgiving tradition of trying and failing to get adolescents to feel embarrassed. They can’t. They’re immune. Gobble gobble.

Since returning to the Capitals as a call-up from the Hershey Bears, Christian Djoos has been a healthy scratch twice. But healthy scratches still take warm-ups with the team before games, and that’s where Djoos and Jakub Vrana, former Hershey teammates, resurrected a pregame ritual in which they take turns gleefully running into each other.
EJ Sherer, a self-described general Caps fan and bodyslam enthusiast, shared photos of the duo’s antics prior to Wednesday night’s match against the Florida Brett Connollys Panthers. Not just any player can make slamming someone violently into the boards look tender and sweet, but Jake and Christian make it work.

The Washington Capitals hosted Brett Connolly back home for the first time since the forward signed with the Florida Panthers over the offseason. Conno was mean and scored against the Caps.
After a bunch of early penalties, the Capitals got on the board first via a fancy Alex Ovechkin goal. Conno tied it the next period, beating Braden Holtby on a breakaway. Richard Panik, who was probably offside, lobbed a shot past Sergei Bobrovsky in the final minute of the second period, but the Capitals let the Panthers tie it 22 seconds later. In the third, Lars Eller potted a Jakub Vrana rebound, and Brendan Leipsic scored on a breakaway. Vincent Trochek got the Panthers within one, but that’s all she wrote.
Caps beat Panthers 4-3.
Brett Connolly now has goals in two straight games against his former team.
This time, Connolly scored shortly after the Capitals aired a tribute video for him.
Now Conno that’s just plain mean. I’m starting to think it’s personal.
Let us give thanks to Washington Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin. On this gr8 Capsgiving night, Ovi reminded us why he’s one of the best dang goalscorers in NHL history.
Ovechkin gave the Caps a 1-0 lead late in the first period after a nice pass by Evgeny Kuznetsov.
Former Capitals forward Brett Connolly was back at Capital One Arena for the first time on Wednesday since signing as a free agent with the Florida Panthers on July 1.
As has become tradition, the Capitals aired a heartwarming tribute video for Connolly during the first TV timeout of the game.

The Capitals are home for the Thanksgiving Eve and are hosting the Florida Panthers. They will be without Nicklas Backstrom, but some good news is that Nic Dowd is back in the lineup after missing five games due to a hand injury.
