Thankful: numbers for the morning after

Happy Thanksgiving! We are all thankful today that the Caps secured a 4-3 victory over the Florida Panthers. Get ready to eat, y’all. This will be a brief one.

The Panthers out-shot the Caps 40 to 20 and out-attempted them at five-on-five 50 to 38.

  • Horrible first forty minutes, probably close to the worst they’ve played at five-on-five all season. Shot totals tell that story…but the game ended with the Panthers only one up (13 to 12) on the Caps in five-on-five high danger chances.
  • Jonas Siegenthaler recorded two assists on the night, marking his first career multi point game. Congrats Siegs!
  • With an assist on Lars Eller‘s goal, Jakub Vrana recorded his 100th career NHL point.
  • What are you thankful for about the Caps this season?
