Josephine Laughlin, ‘Grandma Locker,’ has passed away at age of 97

It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of a death in the Capitals family. Josephine Laughlin, the mother of Capitals broadcaster and color analyst Craig Laughlin, passed away Friday morning at the age of 97.

“Grandma Locker” was a huge Caps fan, vocal about cheering on the team on Twitter, and was adored by the Caps fandom.

Craig asked for prayers and support for Grandma Laughlin on Thursday night, when he unfortunately had to cancel his family’s charity auction.

There was an outpouring of support and condolences for Craig and his family in the wake of the news on Friday.

The entirety of the Laughlin clan are in our thoughts. We are deeply sorry for your loss.
