The Capitals have traveled up north to face off against the Buffalo Sabres. The Sabres have lost six games in a row and are looking to break that streak. The Caps looked great after their Saturday win in Pittsburgh. But, the most important thing to keep in mind about tonight? It’s game number 69. We did it. Here’s hoping for a nice win.

The puck will be dropping at 7 PM and, no matter the outcome, you’re going to get a glorious recap from Peter.

    Record 29-31-8 41-20-7
    Shot Attempt % 48.9% 51.7%
    PDO 100.4 100.5
    Power Play 18.6% (19th) 19.5% (17th)
    Penalty Kill 74.5% (31st) 82.8% (5th)

    Projected Lines

Samantha Pell from the Washington Post hit us with the practice lines from Sunday! Thanks as always, Samantha:

    Vrana – Backstrom – Oshie
    Hagelin – Eller – Kovalchuk
    Panik – Dowd – Hathaway

    Dillon – Carlson
    Orlov – Jensen
    Kempny – Siegenthaler

    Girls Rule

Sunday was International Women’s Day and to celebrate, NBCSN had an all-female broadcast take the reigns during the Blues and Blackhawks game. ESPN’s Emily Kaplan got this pretty awesome picture of the ladies that were working from the truck:

Scenes from the truck of the NBC Sports all-women broadcast of Blackhawks/Blues.

In total, roughly 30 women (on-air and behind the scenes) are working the game for NBC. These women work hockey games all season but rarely get to all work together. pic.twitter.com/sl0ce4SX9K

    Storylines

    • The Caps beat the Pens the other day and it ruled.
    • A true “SMH” moment courtesy of Sabres goalie Carter Hutton.
    • The Florida Panthers retired Roberto Luongo‘s number.
    • No big surprise here, but I thought I might remind you that Ilya Kovalchuk is a powerful dude.
    • LINE BRAWL ALERT: The Bruins and the Lightning got into it.
    • Nothing quite like a good ol’ beer snake and these DC Defenders folks know it.
    • The many personalities of Alex Ovechkin.
    • The Djoos? Lookin’ pretty loose!

    Oi!

My parents are moving to London. Over the weekend, my siblings and I popped down to DC and attended their going away party. I’d like everyone to see the sign that was in the room (including George, their pug).

Anyway, I am super excited for my parents since they’ve only ever lived in Virginia/DC area. Please give them any tips on moving abroad.
