Alex Ovechkin has an endorsement deal with Promsvyazbank. On Sunday, Ovechkin celebrated International Women’s Day through the Russian bank with a new commercial.
Ovechkin takes some spray paint to his jersey to write Happy 8th of March.
Ovechkin then blows some kisses to the camera with his glove.
The Capitals captain has filmed a bunch of creative ads for the bank that have been released throughout the hockey season. Watch below as Ovechkin visits outer space, does ballet, wears a panda suit, works at a bank, helps a lady with the ATM, and does a photoshoot.
This is great form.
Here are some screenshots.
So adorable.
This is not Ovechkin’s foray into advertising for Russian banks. In 2016, Ovechkin signed “one of the richest celebrity endorsement deals on the Russian market” – a one-year pact with Bank Otkrytie to help promote the bank and the World Cup in Russia.
According to Wikipedia, Promsvyazbank is a state-owned bank and “is prominent in financing Russian arms deals.”
