Washington Wizards star Bradley Beal is a hockey fan. He’s been spotted numerous times at Capitals games over the years, including Game One of the 2019 postseason. Beal has even befriended Capitals’ star center Evgeny Kuznetsov, repping Kuzy’s jersey before a Wizards game and even imitating Kuzy’s bird walk celebration.
But with the Capitals out of contention for the Stanley Cup, Beal was free to cheer on his hometown team, the St. Louis Blues. And cheer he did on social media.
During Wednesday night’s Game Seven Final, Beal live-tweeted his excitement as the Blues went up 3-0.
YEAHHHHHHH BLUES!!!!!!!!

Beal also learned, the hard way, one of hockey’s unspoken cardinal rules. Just one minute after tweeting out the S-word, the Bruins scored, avoiding the shutout.

When the clock ran down and the Blues won, Beal was happiest for the people of St. Louis.

Last year, when the Capitals defeated Tampa in Game Seven to advance to the 2018 Stanley Cup Finals, Beal tweeted out his support for the Caps, but told his followers that if it ever came down to a Final between the Caps and Blues, he’d be torn.
Yes I’ll always root for the Blues. I’d be torn for sure! https://t.co/lwXkKdR4Ni

Beal was born St. Louis, MO and played high school ball at Chaminade College Prep (Creve Coeur, MO) before becoming a national star at Florida University.
