Before the Capitals took the ice for their morning skate, the Carolina Hurricanes laid out their free giveaway, “Raise Up” rally towels, on the seats for Game Four.
They trolled the Capitals by spelling out Canes in all-lowercase.
Those monsters.
Sights from #ALLCAPS morning skate @PNCArena ahead of GM4 vs. #TakeWarning. #Hurricanes spelling out ‘canes’ in all-lower case in the lower bowl is well done @WTOP @CapitalsRadio pic.twitter.com/hUNIZKjAJ7

For those of you who have tickets to game 4 here is your goodie. “Raise Up” towels will be flying proudly tonight. Let’s go Canes!

This is cold-blooded and very rude, especially since the Caps were forced to look at it during their skate. I hope it fuels them.
This is not the first time an NHL team has avoided using capital letters to try and get under the skin of the Washington Capitals. The New York Rangers Twitter account decided to use no capital letters in 2015 and the Vegas Golden Knights also banned capital letters on their account last year.
Spell it with me: L-A-M-E.
