Capitals prospect Tobias Geisser to participate in 2019 IIHF World Juniors for Team Switzerland

The Capitals organization will be represented at the upcoming IIHF World Junior Championships. On Friday afternoon their AHL farm team Hershey Bears announced that defenseman Tobias Geisser has been chosen to play for Team Switzerland in the tournament.

The 19 year old, 6’4″ blueliner was drafted in the fourth round of the 2017 NHL Entry Draft, and is currently in the first year of a 3 year entry-level contract. He has 13 games under his belt in his first season with the Hershey Bears playing on the second pairing with Tyler Lewington.

The 2019 IIHF World Junior Championships start on December 26 and will be played in Vancouver and Victoria, BC, Canada.
