Sergei Ovechkin is wearing knitted skates and a sheep onesie to celebrate his 2-month birthday

Alex Ovechkin‘s son, Sergei, is two months old today. On Instagram, mom Nastya Ovechkina posted a picture of the little one decked out in booties knitted in the shape of skates and a onesie with tiny grey sheep printed on them.

Awwwwwwww.

The sheep onesie is particularly appropriate, given the Ovechkin family name. ‘Ovechka‘ translates to “sheep” in Russian. Alex has had sheep painted on his skates in the past.

Three years ago, on Alex’s 30th birthday, he was given a sheep (not ‘ship’) as a present from a Russian television show.

The sheep now lives at the Ovechkin dacha, or summer home in Russia, along with a companion sheep and their baby sheep children together. And of course, when Nastya had her bachelorette party in 2017, the party was decorated with cartoon sheep and cakes in the shape of sheep.

In conclusion, this onesie and those knit skates are awesome. Sergei just needs yellow laces!
