After losing their fourth preseason game to the Canes 5-1, the Capitals were given Saturday off to rest. That didn’t mean they stayed off the ice.
TJ Oshie and John Carlson were both at MedStar Capitals Iceplex with their children. Jakub Vrana and Andre Burakovsky skated with youth hockey players.
Lauren Oshie posted video on her Instagram story of their younger daughter Leni, who skated while leaning on a small goalie net for support. TJ gave her a little boost.
Leni looked pretty solid on her own after that!

Leni and Lyla Oshie took a break to visit with the Carlsons’ new baby, Rudy, who was born in May.
The text from Lauren Oshie’s Instagram reads, “Think it might be time to start trying for number three.”

Gina posted a picture of Lucca and Lyla sitting on top of the table in the Capitals’ newly-refitted players lounge. The text reads, “Still laughing at all the fools who thought our dads wouldn’t be 🌍 champions punch👊.”

After they left the rink, TJ said to Leni, “Len, I don’t like it hockey.”
Leni happily replied, “I wike it hockey!”
If the Oshies and Carlsons decide to start their own Mites on Ice team, Jakub Vrana and Andre Burakovsky would make great assistant coaches. The two skated with youth hockey players through some drills and posed for pictures.
