Caps fans sold out the Game Five viewing party in minutes

On Tuesday, the Capitals announced that they would be holding a viewing party at Capital One Arena for Game Five. However, fans wanting to attend would need to purchase a free ticket via Ticketmaster, starting at 1 PM on Wednesday.

In anticipation of the Capitals doing the thing on Thursday, fan demand to be in the arena crashed Ticketmaster. Twenty minutes later, the Capitals Twitter account confirmed that all tickets had sold out.

Tickets were limited to two per person, and still do not guarantee entry due to limited seating and high demand. Any fan with a ticket to the Mystics game immediately preceding the viewing party is welcome to remain, however, they must enter before the fourth quarter.

Caps fans were very frustrated by the ticket process.

There is no reentry allowed to the Mystics game, nor the viewing party.

The Capitals are encouraging fans with viewing party tickets to arrive early. Admission will be via the F Street and Gallery Place entrances, and will begin at 3 PM.

If you were not able to secure a ticket to the viewing party, there will also be an outdoor viewing party with video boards positioned on G Street NW at 8th St.
