The Stanley Cup was displayed across Washington DC today and Capitals fans loved it

Games Three and Four of the Stanley Cup Final will be played at Capital One Arena this weekend. In a surprise visit, the Stanley Cup did some sight-seeing around Washington DC today. The oldest championship trophy in sports visited Farragut Square, the National Zoo, and Freedom Plaza.

And a bunch of you got photos.

First, the Cup made a stop in Farragut Square. Dozens of fans stopped by to pay their respects to the coveted trophy.

After its time in Farragut Square, the Cup made an appearance at the National Zoo until 3:30.

Finally, the Cup traveled to the Freedom Plaza, where fans could take photos with it from 4-6PM on Friday.
