Orioles wear Caps jerseys, wish team good luck before Game Two of Stanley Cup Final

Throughout the NHL playoffs, the Washington Nationals have notably supported the Capitals. From pitcher Max Scherzer celebrating a Caps win in the locker room to manager Davey Martinez rocking his #ALLCAPS hat in nearly every interview, the Nats have made their loyalties known.

Baltimore, home of Old Bay, the Orioles, and no hockey teams (RIP Skipjacks), is generally known as a Caps city. So, the O’s are supporting the Caps themselves, just like the MLB club from just south.

Outfielder Trey Mancini and first baseman Chris Davis both got new Stadium Series jerseys and rocked them to the stadium. The two would record a “good luck” video for the Capitals on Wednesday.

Davis would go on to take batting practice in his custom Caps gear.

Orioles superstar Manny Machado would do so as well.

Orioles manager Buck Showalter wore his own custom Stadium Series sweater on Monday before Game One of the Stanley Cup Final.

The O’s have struggled this season, standing at 17-38 in last place in the American League East. They will look to avoid a sweep against the Nationals Wednesday night, while both Baltimore and Washington will be rooting for the Caps to even the Stanley Cup Final.
