The Washington Capitals dominated the Tampa Bay Lightning in Games One and Two of the Eastern Conference Final, outscoring the Bolts 10-4 in Florida. As Game Three shifted to Washington, D.C., Mother Nature has made an appearance and is trying to inspire her favorite hockey team.
As the teams started the game at Capital One Arena in the eight o’clock hour, a line of storms moved into town, knocking out power and causing flash flooding. And, oh yeah, there was a lot of lightning.
As the Lightning raced out to a commanding 3-0 lead, this is what was happening outside.
