Tom Wilson was boarded by Anton Stralman in the first period of Game Three. Stralman leaped into the hit, driving Wilson’s head into the glass. The Capitals first line forward laid on the ice clutching his head.
“He sees numbers for a good amount of time and he elevates through the back of my shoulder and head,” Wilson said after the game. “If I make that hit, 100 percent, I’m probably sitting out.”
Well, according to The Washington Post’s Isabelle Khurshudyan, the NHL’s Department of Player Safety will not be issuing a suspension to the Swedish defenseman.
