Since the Capitals closed out their second series with a win over the Penguins, we’ve lived — and relived — every defining moment. From Evgeny Kuznetsov’s overtime game-winning goal, to John Walton’s call, to the Capitals bench celebration.
Those celebrations spilled over into the locker room, post-game, and the Capitals shared some of them in a viral video wrapping up a decisive Game Six.

As Evgeny Kuznetsov entered the locker room, Big Boy Tom Wilson launched himself into his arms, almost knocking them both to the ground.
Alex Ovechkin couldn’t contain his excitement as he roared his way in after Kuznetsov, fist-bumping several members of the Capitals organization as he passed them.
“This was a good example of what the team can do,” Trotz said. “Of what a real team can do when everybody’s pulling the rope.”
Though, even with the celebrations in full swing, Trotz had a simple reminder of what comes next. “We’re only halfway. Right, O? Only halfway.”
Holtby and Walker shared a hug out on the ice, but they couldn’t resist a second once they were back in the locker room.
Ovechkin and Lars Eller’s matching grins were contagious.
We’re not sure we’ve ever seen either of them smile that big before — and that’s saying something.
Meanwhile, Holtby exhaled with something that looked like relief, having finally overcome Pittsburgh.
Walker didn’t reserve his hugs just for Holtby. He cosied up to Kuznetsov as well — who deserves all of the hugs, from now until the Eastern Conference Finals begin.
Capitals owner, Ted Leonsis, also snuck in a little hug action. He bestowed on upon captain Alex Ovechkin. There really were plenty of hugs to go around.
