Tuesday evening, the Washington Capitals announced the promotions of Travis Boyd and Madison Bowey from the AHL Hershey Bears. The two players have both spent time in Washington this season and will likely finish the year on the Caps roster for the the team’s playoff run.
With Jay Beagle injured, Boyd could fill-in as the team’s fourth line center during the team’s final two regular season games. Meanwhile, Bowey could help spell several veteran defensemen and give them a rest before the playoffs. Bowey will be the team’s eighth defenseman on the roster.
Had a chance to chat with each of these guys before they departed to join the Capitals. Troy Mann shared the feeling that I had, that this probably is the last we'll see of both in the Chocolate and White. Best of luck to both of them and the Caps in the playoffs! #ALLCAPS https://t.co/TbwQEQYCtu
