Brian Pinho’s college hockey career ended earlier in the week.
Now there’s news coming from The Providence Journal’s Mark Divver that Pinho is beginning the process of figuring out his first entry-level contract.

According to Divver, Pinho’s agent has been communicating with the Capitals. The Caps hold Pinho’s rights through August 15. At that point, if he’s not signed, he will become an unrestricted free agent and can talk to and sign with any NHL team.
Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman previously called Pinho “a name to keep an eye on” as a player who may test the UFA waters in mid August.
