After a bleh start, the Capitals actually mounted a convincing effort to down the Oilers in Edmonton Saturday. They’ll hope to do it again tonight in Calgary, the final game in what’s been a challenging early-season road trip.
The game is at 9 PM on NBCSNDCROFLBBQ. Your humble author here will provide your recap.

Without a morning skate, it’s hard to know for sure what the lines will be. I suspect some new faces will get rotated into the forward lines (e.g. Nathan Walker). Here’s how the team lined up in Edmonton, but with Grubauer in net.
Vrana – Backstrom – Oshie
Ovechkin – Kuznetsov – DSP
Stephenson – Eller – Wilson
Peluso – Beagle – Chiasson
Djoos – Carlson
Orpik – Bowey
Orlov – Chorney

Gordon Ramsay calls these “North African poached eggs,” but it’s shakshuka. I made a similar dish last night, and it was great. The production on Gordon Ramsay videos is so bad that it is also great. Extreme close-ups, haiku voiceover, very little information – just a delight.
