Buckle up, this is gonna be a good one. The Capitals are at the Bell Centre tonight facing off against the Montreal Canadiens. The two teams are pretty even when it comes to numbers including the fact that they both have 25 wins and 9 losses. The Capitals will hope to extend their five game winning streak, but it won’t help that TJ Oshie will be sitting out with an upper-body injury.
Puck drop is at 7:30 PM on CSN. Use your extra half hour wisely.
| Team | Record | SA% | PDO | Power Play | Penalty Kill |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Montreal Canadiens | 25-9-6 | 53.4% | 102.2 | 21.3% | 80.3% |
| Washington Capitals | 25-9-5 | 53.4% | 102.1 | 16.4% | 87.1% |
Projected Lines
The Caps had an optional skate today, so the lines could change, but here’s a good guess from our gal Isabelle.
Ovechkin – Backstrom– Connolly
Johansson – Kuznetsov – Williams
Carey – Eller – Burakovsky
Winnik – Beagle – Wilson
Alzner – Carlson
Orlov – Niskanen
Orpik – Schmidt
Holtby
Mooning Monday
A piece went up on Puck Daddy this afternoon that I think I need to share with you all. This Quebec guy was so mad about a controversial goal scored by the other team that he decided to drop his drawers and let the ref how he truly feels. I thought I was dramatic when sports don’t go my way, but I guess I’ll never be as dramatic as the Canadian “goon league”.
