Caps Tee Shirt Guy’s excellent threads will be up for auction at Casino Night

The Capitals will host their annual Casino Night fundraiser on Tuesday night, and today the team released a list of items that will be available for auction. Included among the rather eclectic mix of memorabilia and experiences is a set of signed player-face t-shirt made famous by Charlie McManus, a.k.a “The Tee Shirt Guy.”

The set of six shirts features larger-than-life images of Braden Holtby, Evgeny Kuznetsov, Dmitry Orlov, Alex Ovechkin, Nate Schmidt and Justin Williams – and they’re all signed. Charlie has been sporting the shirts around Verizon Center for the last couple of seasons. You’ve probably seen his pictures pop up in person or on Twitter.

Here’s Charlie wearing the Nate Schmidt shirt while posing for a picture with Nate Schmidt.

Several other items in the auction stand out as well, including a signed O’vheckin St. Patrick’s Day jersey, a Braden Holtby game-used stick, and a signed print of a photo of Kuzy’s bird-walk celebration.

As has been the case in previous years, the auction also includes a lot of non-Caps memorabilia and experiences, including an autographed Brad Marchand Bruins jersey, a Carrie Underwood autographed framed concert poster, a “Pardon the Interruption” taping experience, and a Cal Ripken Jr. autographed baseball. One of those things is worth bidding on.

Bidding for two rear-mezzanine seats to see “Hamilton” on Broadway starts at $4,000.

To see all 88 (intentional, right?) items up for auction, head over the Casino Night Handbid page. What would you be bidding on?
