As father to a teenager with Down syndrome, Barry Trotz knows better than most what they need. Last month, the Capitals head coach delivered an emotional message about how much friendship means to special needs children and why the Capitals community should participate in the Best Buddies Friendship Walk.
This morning, hundreds of people took to the National Mall to join Nolan Trotz and the Best Buddies Capital Region chapter.
Trotz’s team, aptly named Strollin’ with Nolan, was joined by several Caps babies, Caps wives, Slapshot, and the Red Rockers.

Lucca also got a photo with the star of the event, Nolan Trotz, as well.

The team of the Capitals Wives and Girlfriends also took a picture during the event. Looks like it was a little too bright outside for Justin Williams’ daughter, Jade.
