Today is Valentine’s Day, and if you haven’t gotten than special someone a card (be it your significant other, a best pal, family, or heck, for yourself), some of your favorite local sports teams have got you covered.

The Toronto Maple Leafs played the Vegas Golden Knights Thursday in a Valentine’s Day matchup between two of the best young teams in the NHL. The best moment of the night however happened before puck drop.
One tiny Leafs fan brought a sign to the game asking Mitch Marner to Be My Valentine.
Marner obliged in spectacular fashion.
The Washington Capitals are in San Jose this Valentine’s Day, but being away from didn’t stop them from celebrating the holiday with their loved ones.
Whether by posting romantic pictures on social media or arranging for the delivery of flowers and chocolate, the Capitals and their significant others still found a way to show how much they care.
(Seriously though. So much chocolate. We all want TJ Oshie to be our Valentine.)

The Washington Capitals are dispersed all across North America for their bye week. The team’s captain, Alex Ovechkin, is spending his six day and seven-night stay with his wife Nastya on Sunny Isles Beach in Miami.
Staying high atop a hotel with an oceanview, the Ovechkins celebrated Valentine’s Day at the beach in the morning, playing cards and drinking champagne. Later things turned romantic with a surprise from Alex to his wife.
Happy Valentine’s Day, you guys.
This year to celebrate, we created 12 Caps-themed valentines that utilize some of our favorite things in the whole wide world: puns, bad photoshops, and Comic Sans.

Brooks Laich and Julianne Hough have been dating for a little over a year, and it seems to be going well despite it being a long-distance relationship– with Hough in Los Angeles and Laich in northern Virginia. Opposite coasts!
On Saturday, the couple, which I will refer to as Broolianne for the rest of this post, got to spend time together during Valentine’s Day– just because the NHL’s schedule-maker was kind to them.
During the day, Laich spent time at Hough’s home, and Broolianne took some lovely pictures for social media.
