NHL mourns the passing of legendary Hockey Hall-of-Famer Guy Lafleur
Hockey Hall of Fame forward Guy Lafleur died at the age of 70 on Friday after a long battle with lung cancer per Sportsnet. His passing comes just a week after the hockey world also lost Mike Bossy to lung cancer.
Lafleur scored 560 goals and tallied 1,353 points in 1,126 NHL games and helped lead the Montreal Canadiens to five Stanley Cup championships from 1973 to 1979. ‘Le demon blond’ is one of the most electrifying players in NHL history.
