The Maryland Black Bears redesigned their jerseys and they’re more Maryland-y than before

The Maryland Black Bears are Maryland’s only major junior hockey team. A part of the North America Hockey League (NAHL) since 2018, the Black Bears practice and play their home games in Odenton at the Washington Capitals’ former training facility, Piney Orchard Ice Arena, which has been appropriately nicknamed The Den.

After their first two full seasons in the NAHL, the Maryland Black Bears decided to redesign their current jerseys and the result is an even more Maryland-y design than before.

James Corden repeatedly tries and fails to say ‘Maryland’ correctly

Late Late Show host James Corden has become must-watch TV most nights on CBS. During a bit early Thursday morning, Corden read off a question from a viewer in Maryland.

And that’s when the English comedian realized the state’s name was a bit harder to pronounce than he originally thought.

Not Hockey: Maryland Elementary School Closes After Feral Cat Runs Loose Inside Building

For those of you who hate it when we post things that have nothing to do with hockey, whelp, sorry not sorry.

On Friday afternoon, my brother and I spoke on Facebook chat and he told me about a peculiar thing that happened in Anne Arundel County earlier today.

Richard Henry Lee Elementary, a school in Glen Burnie, had to close its doors early this morning because a feral cat snuck inside the building.

Caps Fever Hits Columbia, Maryland

Overlooking Lake Kittamaqundi, there stands a quaint statue honoring Columbia’s visionary founder, James Rouse, and his brother, Willard. The statue, entitled “The Dealings,” is an iconic landmark that everyone in Howard County knows, and one that I come across almost daily when I eat at one of Columbia’s awesome lakefront restaurants. So naturally, when I got on Facebook last night and came across Dylan Goldberg’s photo of the Rouses in full hockey gear rocking the red, I knew I had to share it with the world. Well – at least when I stopped laughing. I hope you enjoy.
